Software Combined’s acquisition of Dbvisit extends its footprint in New Zealand and its commitment to innovation and growth

Leading Australian headquartered software aggregator, Software Combined Group, has acquired Auckland based, database disaster recovery software specialist, Dbvisit.

The acquisition of Dbvisit, which has demonstrated strong growth and an expanding global presence, is Software Combined’s second purchase of a New Zealand technology company in 2024. It follows Software Combined’s acquisition in April of fellow Auckland company, Activate, and marks the company’s eighth acquisition since its establishment of the company in 2020.

Boasting a successful, 16-year history of innovation and global growth, Dbvisit specialises in the provision of ‘standby’ or ‘warm’ disaster recovery software solutions across enterprise level databases, including Oracle SE, SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.

Dbvisit has extensive relationships with more than 1700 customers across 120 countries, with a significant and growing presence in key markets, particularly in Europe.

Following the acquisition, Dbvisit will retain its head office in Auckland, and no changes are expected to staffing or their location.

“Dbvisit is attractive for the growing Software Combined family and our acquisition of the company is further proof of our commitment to growing our presence in New Zealand,” said Evert den Hollander, CEO of Software Combined. “Our approach is focused on providing acquired software companies a platform for continuing growth and innovation. Dbvisit is a perfect example of the kind of software company we want to work with – it is stable, and it has strong, deep customer relationships. We are very confident that Dbvisit will benefit from the active support that Software Combined provides.”

Mark Otten, CEO, Dbvisit said: “We want a home for our business that shares our values about business and people, providing us the environment to continue innovating and growing the way we like to. Software Combined offers exactly that.”

Software Combined’s successful and unique aggregation model will enable Dbvisit to continue their growth in key markets such as Europe and the United States, while providing additional support such as finance, go-to-market, and technical support.
